The Annapurna BC provides one of the most stunning panorama in Nepal: Hiunchuli (6331 m), Annapurna South (7219 m), Annapurna 1 (8091 m), Annapurna 2 (7555 m), Singu Chuli (6300 m). Its a stupendous set of faces dominated by the south face of Annapurna 1. At 4130 m, the Annapurna BC is the highest point of this trek which will take you over the foothills of the Annapurna range through glaciers, rhododendron forests and lush green rice paddies. May be one of the best trips for a first trekking experience in the Himalaya.

Itinerary
D-1: arrival in Kathmandu and transfert to hotel.
D-2: visit of Kathmandu: Durbar Square and its bazar, temples, Royal Palace, the goddess Kumaris home.
Afternoon: visit of the Buddhist Stupa of Swayambunath, one of the oldest religious sites of Nepal, worshipped by both Buddhists and Hindus.
Visit of Pashupatinath, the Benares of Nepal, dedicated to the God Shiva on the Bagmati River and visit of Bouddhanath and its famous Stupa, one of the biggest in southern Asia.
D-3: KTM-Pokhara by bus (6h)
D-4: Pokhara-Phedi by bus or taxi and walk to Dhampus: 3h
From Phedi, ascent to Dhampus (1580 m)
D-5: Dhampus-Laundrung ( 1550 m): 5 h
After ascending a ridge we descend to Tolka and the village of Laundrung (1550 m), excellent view of Annapurna south and Patal Hiunchuli, Macchapuchare.
D-6: Laundrung -Chomrong ( 2190m)- 5h
We cross the Mhodi khola and we start the ascent to Chomrong in plentiful bamboo forets.
D-7: Chomrong-Himalayan hotel (2680 m): 5h
The route continues on the side of the valley through bamboo forests until Doban and Himalayan hotel.
D-8: Himalayan hotel-Macchapuchare BC (3480 m): 5h
During the day we cross the Mhodi Khola several times and a gradual climb accompanies the increasing elevation: we enter an ablation valley before Macchapuchare BC. The view is fantastic: Annapurna 3 and south, Macchapuchare
D-9 : Acclimatization in Macchapuchare BC.
D-10: Macchapuchare BC-Annapurna BC (4100 m) : 3h
We start early in the morning for the fantastic panorama from Annapurna BC: Annapurna 1 south wall, Singu Chuli, Macchapuchare
D11: descent to Himalayan Hotel : 5h
D-12 : descent to Chomrong (2190 m): 5h
D-13: Chomrong-Tadapani (2540 m): 5h
Now we take another route to Ghorepani; we follow a path through rhododendrons and pines forest.
D-14: walk to Ghorepani (2900 m): 6h
Ascent to Deorali pass (2960 m), in Ghorepani we are on the Kali Gandaki circuit.
D-15: ascent to Poon Hill (3193 m): 1h30, descent to Birethanti: 4h
Early morning ascent to Poon Hill for a magnificent sunrise over Dhaulagiri, Annapurna Himal, Macchapuchare
Long descent to Birethanti or Hile through rhododendrons and pines forests.
D-16: Birethanti-NayaPool: 1h and drive back to Pokhara (1h30)
D-17: drive back to KTM (7h)
D-18: rest day in KTM
D-19: Transfert to airport and return.
