The trek crossing Ganja la pass (5140 m) is a challenging trek. The trek starts from Syabrubesi in the Langtang valley, following the Langtang river through dense forests of rhododendrons, alpine meadows and yak pastures until Kyangjing Gompa (3860 m). From Kyangjin we cross Ganja la pass where the last 100 m is very steep (rope can be used in case of snow, especially during springtime) and requires the utmost care. The descend is on a steep slope for over 150 m which requires good care again but the rest of the trail is easier. There are no lodges and settlements for 3 days along the way until the beautiful Sherpa village of Tarkegyang in Helambu. During this trek the views of the Langtang Himal, Ganesh Himal, Shishapangma are fantastic.
