This circuit brings you to the Everest North Face Base Camp in 4 days of a spectacular trekking with mermerizing views of The Everest faces, Cho Oyu, Lhotse, Makalu and a myriad of other peaks. During the first days you will visit the mythic places of Lhasa, Gyantse, Xigatse and you will start the trek in Old Tigri near the legendary Sakya monastery. En route you will cross the Lamna La and reach the mythic monastery of Rongbuck, 5030 meters above sea level, the highest monastery in the world. then we will continue up to the Everest base camp for a stunning view on the north face.

Itinerary

D-1: flight Kathmandu-Lhasa (3650m) : overnight in hotel

D-2 and D-3 : Lhassa
2 days sightseeing in Lhassa : Jokhang, Barkhor Bazar, Potala, Drepung and Sera
overnight in hotel

D-4 : drive to Gyantse (3950m)
we pass the kamba La (4800m), nice views of the Yamdrok lake, pass Karo La (5010m) and Simi La and we reach Gyantse.
in Gyantse visit Phalkor monastery and Khumbun Stupa.
overnight in guest house

D-5: drive to Xigatse (3880m) : 90 km
In Xigatse visit Tashilunpo Monastery.
overnight in guest house

D-6 : drive to Old Tingri (4350m) : 300km
we pass Tso La (4500m) and Gyacho La (5250m), visit Sakya monastery.
In Old Tingri, we meet our staff.

D-7 : trek to Lungchan (4350m)
we follow the Ra Chu river . Camp

D-8 : trek to Drokpa (4860m)
camp below Lamna La pass.

D-9 : pass Lamna La( 5075m)-Drakpu (4730m)
camp near the river Drakpu.

D-10 : trek to Rongbuk (5030m)
Rongbuk is the highest monastery in the world. Breathtaking views of the Everest North face.
overnight in guest house or camp

D-11 : walk to Everest BC (5400m): 2h
From the base camp wonderful views : Everest, Makalu, Lhotse.
return to Rongbuk and drive to Tingri ( 4390m)
overnight in guest house

D-12 : drive to Zhangmu ( 2300m): 220 km
we pass LalungLa ( 5050m) with breathtaking views on Cho Oyu, Xishapangma and Everest.
overnight in guest house.

D-13 : return to Kathmandu via Khodari : 123km.
We can also pick up you at your arrival in kathmandu and arrange your trip in Kathmandu ( hotel booking, sightseeing …).
